Find your Dream Classic Muscle Car

When one thinks of classic automobiles one of the first images that comes to mind is of the classic muscle car, barreling down the highway with the engine roaring loudly as it goes. This image has been in hundreds of movies over the past few centuries and the image of the old classic muscle car strikes a chord with anyone who has lived in North America long enough to know that the classic muscle cars impact on American culture in particular. There’s always been something about hitting the highway and just letting it ride all out with a classic muscle car.

When it comes to popular models of classic muscle cars, nothing is more prominent then the Ford muscle cars of the late 50′s and early 60′s. These cars still go for thousands and thousands of dollars in many of the top automotive auctions across the United States. One of the most popular Ford muscle cars has to be the Ford Mustang. The Ford Mustang is probably one of the most recognizable classic muscle cars that is actually still in production today because of its continuing popularity among drivers both old and young, male and female.

Something about classic muscle cars like the Ford Mustang just gave a sense of freedom that is something that many muscle car owners have a tough time explaining. When looking for classic muscle cars be sure to check out automobile auctions and definitely search online, as there are many niche dealerships across the States that still carry these classic muscle cars, which for many are still as cool and synonymous with American culture as they ever were.

Best 2009 Cars for Your Money

When it comes to shopping around for vehicles, a lot of people do an immense amount of research before finally deciding on which car they want. Once they make that decision, they then need to go begin the exhaustive procedure of searching around to get the best deal on that specific model of their choice.  After contacting local dealerships and searching through Autotraders and classifieds they may be able to find the perfect deal on the car of their choice.

When it comes to the first step and finding out which cars are actually the best bang for your money, consider that the US News officially announced the following cars and their respective awards:

  • Toyota Camry was named the best midsize car for the money
  • Honda Fit won the honor of being the best subcompact car for the money
  • Mazda M5 won the award of being the best compact crossover for the money
  • Hyundai Elantra received the award for being the best overall compact car for the money
  • Toyota Highlander got the best midsize crossover for the money
  • Lexus RX won the best luxury crossover for the money
  • Chevrolet Tahoe won the best full size SUV for the money
  • Mazda Miata took home the award for the best sports car for the money

  • Toyota Tacoma won the best compact truck for the money
  • Chevy Silverado received the award for being the best full size truck for the money
  • Toyota Sienna won the best minivan for the money
  • Toyota Avalon won the best large car for the money
  • Lexus ES won the best upscale car for the money

A big congrulations to all the winners! Very interesting that Toyota won 5 of the awards, quite a feat! And when you consider that Lexus took hom another 3 awards, (Lexus and Toyota are the same company just different divisions) they won over half the automotive awards that were handed out in 2009 by the US NEWS Rankings & Reviews.

When looking for your next car, try and remember the aforementioned cars so that you can really get the most for your money when buying automobiles.

Audi RS6 Sedan

Just like the Audi Avant wagon, the new Audi RS6 Sedan is fitted with a 5.0L
twin-turbo V10 engine that churns out 580hp and 480lb-ft of torque. The
cars also comes with their permanent quattro four-wheel drive and sports suspension with dynamic ride control. Combining FSI direct fuel injection, dry-sump lubrication and two turbochargers
tuned to deliver 1.6 bar of boost pressure, the mighty mill delivers smooth,
powerful thrust throughout the rev range. Peak torque, for example, is generated
between 1,500 to 6,250rpm – nearly the entire rev range. With a power-to-weight
ratio of 3.4 kilograms per hp, the Audi RS6 will accelerate from
0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and top out at an electronically controlled 280km/h.
Power in the Audi RS6 Sedan is transferred to all four wheels via a new
six-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox, which has been updated for quicker gear
shifts and shorter ratios. The driver can also manually change gears either
using the shift lever or the paddles on the steering wheel.

The Audi RS6 Sedan body of the 4.93 meter (16.17 ft) RS 6 also sports a number
of distinctive features to distinguish it from the standard sedan. These include
the single-frame grill, the air intakes, adaptive lights and RS6-specific LED
daytime running lights, flared fenders and deep side skirts, a rear diffuser, a
spoiler integrated into the trunk lid and the two large oval exhaust pipes. Audi
RS6 Sedan interior is lined with carbon-fiber, aluminum, leather and Alcantara,
and is put together with the usual Audi precision and attention for detail.
Customers can choose between two steering wheels – the multifunctional sport
steering wheel with three-spoke design and the RS multifunctional sport steering
wheel. The RS version, which can optionally be covered in suede, features the
motorsport style flat-bottomed design and RS6 emblems on the lower spoke. The
RS6 also gets its own unique instrument cluster, featuring a turbocharger boost
pressure indicator, oil temperature gauge and a lap timer, all of which can be
accessed via the driver information system. Audi offers carbon-ceramic brakes
for the Audi RS6 Sedan with 19in wheels and tires as standard, however if you upgrade to the 20in wheel package you get larger diameter brakes sized at 420mm at the front and 356mm at
the rear. Other safety features include Audi’s lane assist, adaptive cruise
control, and Audi side assist. Electronic stability also comes as standard, but
can be set to a ‘Sport’ mode or even deactivated entirely.
